Banji Alabi was born on January 30th 1962 in Owo in Ondo-State to Chief Alabi Osokiya (A foremost Western Nigeria building contractor)and Madam Abigail Simisola Alabi (a textile trader and sewing mistress)(both of blessed memory)
Banji attended Government Primary School, Owo, Imade College, Owo, for the secondary School education, Ondo- State Polytechnic Owo for OND in Accountancy. Yaba college of Technology,Yaba, Lagos for HND in Accountancy, Bachelor of laws degree (LLB) from Lagos State University and Barrister at Law (BL) from the Nigerian Law School, Lagos.
Banji joined Chevron Nigeria Ltd one of the foremost global energy companies in the world in Dec 10, 1990, while at Chevron, he had in-house experience in law, finance and taxation practice for 24 years. . He advises sponsors, lenders and contractors in major upstream development projects and oil field support services transactions before he opted for early retirement in June 2014 to set up his law practice & real estate development company. Banji is a fellow of the Chartered institute of Taxation Of Nigeria and a member of the Lagos Polo Club.
In his younger days ; Banji Alabi was a boxer, He featured in about 10 tournaments without loosing a bout.
