Laisi Olaniran Fashanu

Mr Laisi Olaniran Fashanu was born on August 15, 1953 in Owo, Owo Local Government, Ondo State. He hails from Owo, Ondo State where he had his elementary education before he later proceeded to Imade College, Owo for his secondary education, which he finished in 1971 with enviable results.
As an ambitious young man with a great deal of academic acumen, he later gained admission into The Polytechnic, Ibadan to study Accountancy at the National Diploma level and finished in 1978.
In his quest to consolidate his academic status, he became an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ACA) in 1984 and later had his Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) at St. Mary’s College, California, USA in 1984.
A couple of years later, he became a Fellow Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (FCA).
He is an embodiment of experience with his work experience spanning over two decades, having worked with the following companies:
- Chevron Nigeria Limited, 1979 – 1993 Accountant, Joint Venture Accounting; Internal Auditor, Chevron Nigeria Limited; Supervisor, Budget and Economics;
- Supervisor, Materials Accounting; Chief Accountant, Payroll, Materials Accounting, Joint Venture Accounting. Chevron Overseas Petroleum (CORP) USA, 1993 – 1995;
- Supervisor, Accounts Payable Overseas and Joint Venture Financial Support Tax Compliance, Chevron Nigeria Limited;
- 1995 – 1998 Manager, Joint Venture Accounting; Production Sharing Contract (PSC); Budget & Forecast Treasury Unit.
- Chevron Nigeria Limited, 1998 – 2005 Finance Comptroller: Budget & Forecast; Treasury; Accounts; Accounts Payable; Inter-Company Accounting; PSC Accounting; Materials Accounting; Financial Accounting; Warri & PH Area Offices Accounting.
- Among other things of interest, he likes farming and travelling.
He is at present, one of the Directors of Hotel Solutions Hospitality Nigeria Limited.
